Glee Character Of The Week: Shannon Beiste

This week's Glee Character is Shannon Beiste. The role is being played by Dot-Marie Jones. She is better known as Coach Beiste and the head coach of the football team as replacement for Ken Tanaka.

She made her first appearance in the first episode of Season 2 (Audition). At first, Will and Sue did not like her because the budget for the Glee Club and the Cheerios was cut into half. The two did things to throw her out of the school but they weren't successful. In the later part of the first episode, Will turned againsts Sue and apologized to Coach Beiste. She was about to quit in episode 6 (Never been Kissed) because the boys (and Tina) from the glee club use mental images of Beiste in a compromising position to "cool themselves off" when it gets too hot and heavy with their girlfriends. Will talked to her and found out that she has never been kissed which lead him to give the first kiss to Coach Beiste.

Her first vocal performance was in episode 14 (Blame It On The Alcohol) with One Bourbon, One Scotch, One Beer together with Will.

Over-all, I can say that Coach Beiste may look furious but she is a kind-hearted person.

My Top Five Songs For Moving On

After every heartache, there is only one thing to do and that is to move on. We cannot just live in misery of the heartbreak for the rest of our lives. One must learn how to accept that some things must come to an end and to look at the brighter side of life. So, this blog will feature my top five MOVING ON songs:

5. I Will Survive By Gloria Gaynor

4. Survivor By Destiny's Child

3. I Never Really Love You Anyway By The Corrs

2. Irreplaceable By Beyonce Knowles

1. Since You've Been Gone By Kelly Clarkson

There are a lot of songs that can be associated with moving on but these are the best for me... =)

DLSU Lady Spikers: UAAP Season 73 Champions

Lately, I've been glued in front of our television every Wednesdays and Saturdays just to watch the 73rd season of the UAAP. Since volleyball is one of my interests, the DSLU Lady Spikers caught my attention. For this season, they end up facing UST Tigresses for the championship.

UST Tigresses' front player Aiza Maizo is the best player when it comes to defense, spiking and ball handling. She had been a threat to the Lady Spikers even though she is experiencing back pains. But nevertheless, I believe that if it is your interest, nothing and no one can hinder you from playing. I must say, she is unstoppable when the ball is thrown to her. The UST Tigresses did a wonderful game and they made it difficult for the Lady Spikers to grab the championship title.

The DSLU Lady Spikers line up for the first six was awesome. Mikaela Esperanza, the tosser can bring the ball to any directions with ease. When it comes to their defense, Michelle Gumabao is their best blocker. Their attackers will make you roll to the floor, namely, Jacq Alarca, Abigail MaraƱo, Cha Cruz and Stephanie Mercado.

The finals of the UAAP Women's Volleyball for this season, ended with 3 sets. Cha Cruz was hailed MVP for the finals game. Awards were also given to the other Lady Spikers. Mikaela Esperanza is the Rookie Of The Year, Michelle Gumabao was awarded Best Blocker and Jacq Alarca got three awards, Best Spiker, Best Server and MVP for the entire season.

To the DLSU Lady Spikers... Good Job and Animo La Salle!!! =)

My Second Time In Pansol With Team Dada

I remember the first time I've ever been to Pansol, Laguna, it was last January of 2008 with Team Zycopaths, my team in PeopleSupport. It was a lot of fun and we stayed there overnight. This time, I just went to Pansol, Laguna the other day to join Boss Dada and the rest of her agents for their team building. Of course, as her previous agent, I'm glad that I reunited with them. Together with Boss Dada were Eleazar Basila, Richard Santos, Jennifer Polinar, Zarabeth Teodoro, Caen Palangdao, Lester Sarreal, Emjay Casil, Chums Almendra and Max Bejado. It was a three hour trip from Makati to SM Calamba because of traffic jam. We reached Pansol at 2P.M. The place was good. I wasn't able to stay overnight because I have training on that day and I need to go back to Makati.  Here are some of the photos:

Other photos can be found in our Facebook page. Thanks Team Dada!!! I really enjoyed being reunited with you guys!!! =)

Glee Character Of the Week: Blaine Anderson

Our Glee character for this week is Blaine Anderson. This role is being played by Darren Criss. Blaine Anderson is a gay student at Dalton Academy and a member of the Warblers, a 2010 Sectionals rival of New Directions. The character is a love interest for Kurt. His character first appeared in Glee Season 2 episode 6: Never Been Kissed and the first song that he performed together with the Warblers is "Teenage Dream" by Katy Perry.

He made the next appearances as the episodes go on. Somewhat he became friends with the New Directions because of Kurt Hummel. The Warblers performed "Hey Soul Sister" by Train in the Sectionals.

As of the moment, I'm still waiting for Blaine's best performance and as to when, I'm not sure but I'm sure there will be and I'll wait for it. =)

Heartbreak Quotes

In a relationship, there are times when one person would come to a point where they loose the love to their significant other. We may consider a lot of factors. Some say love can always be mended. But what if you hurt badly in love? What if you can't take the pain anymore? What if the love just ain't enough as others says? Here are some Heartbreak quotes:

"You're the one who broke my heart, you're the reason my world fell apart, you're the one who made me cry, yet I'm still in love with you and I don't know why."

"A million words would not bring you back, I know because I've tried, neither would a million tears, I know I've cried."

"People think it is holding on that makes you stronger, but sometimes it's letting go."

"You always say you hate to see me hurt, and you hate to see me cry. So all those times that you hurt me, did you close your eyes?"

"Why did I break up with him? Well ,it's like, once I sat down and looked at the situation, all the pieces lying on the floor, it just wasn't a puzzle anymore. None of the pieces fit together. And even if I tried really hard, the pieces, well they were two different puzzles. That's why I did it, he needs to understand that."

"You hurt me more then I deserve, how can you be so cruel? I love you more then you deserve, why am I such a fool?"

"You asked me what was wrong, I smiled and said nothing, when you turned around and a tear came down and I whispered to myself... everything is."

"Hold my hand, just one more time, so I can remind myself why it is that I can't get over you."

"The hardest thing about growing up is that you have to do what is right for you even if it means breaking someone's heart. Including your own."

"Sometimes all you need is a broken heart to realize that something even better is right in front of our eyes, just waiting to be found."

"No one can promise they'll never hurt you because at one time or another, it will happen. The real promise is if the time you spend together will be worth the pain in the end.'

"The worst feeling in the world is knowing you've been used and lied to."

"I don't know which is worse, being the one with the broken heart or being the person that breaks the hearts."

"After a while, you learn the difference between holding a hand, and falling in love. You'll learn kisses don't always mean something. Promises can be broken just as easily as they were made, and as hard as it is to believe, sometimes goodbyes are forever."

"So... from now on... when you think of me... just remember that I could've been the best thing you ever had."

Episode 13: Comeback: A Review

Episode 13 of Glee Season 2 had its airing yesterday and it is entitled: Comeback. There are no guest stars for this episode.

These week's episode highlights, first, Sue tried to commit suicide because of her depression due to the loss of at the Cheerleading Regionals. Emma asked Will to let Sue join the Glee Club for a week. But Sue secretly revealed that she wants to destroy the group from the inside. She attempted to turn Mercedes and Rachel against each other.Angry, the girls have a vocal "diva-off" at glee club rehearsals and sing "Take Me or Leave Me" by Rent. Sue did not succeed with her plan.

Second episode highlight, Sam formed a Justin Bieber tribute band to impress Quinn, and sings "Baby" to woo her from Finn. Earlier, Quinn lied to Sam that she did not kiss Finn but had saved his life by extracting a gumball from a choking Finn's mouth. Artie and Mike are concerned that their girlfriends are coming down from a "Valentine's day high" and Puck wants to impress Lauren Zizes, so they join "The Justin Bieber Experience". Together they perform "Somebody to Love" and the boys' suitably impressed girlfriends show their affection. I was also amazed by Lauren's debut solo performance of "I Know What Boys Like" by The Waitresses.

Third episode highlight, Santana confronts Sam about his relationship with Quinn. She explains to Sam that he knows Quinn kissed Finn but that he was willing to believe her story to stay with her, and that he has an opportunity to show everyone that he is not a pushover. Santana then proceeds to proposition Sam. Quinn was impressed by Sam's Bieber-inspired performance but Sam confronts her about her encounter with Finn and states that he is now dating Santana.

Over-all impression: I can say that so far, this is the best episode ever since the hit series came back. I love the performance of Sam Evans for Baby, I love the dance steps, however, this will not make me a Justin Bieber fan... Hahaha!!! =)

Happy Valentine's Day!!!

It's February 14 again... not a holiday nor double pay, but still a happy occasion because we celebrate the day of hearts.

Probably, your social networking sites such as Facebook and Twitter just like mine are flooded with Valentine's Greetings for today. People upload photos, tags other people, send personal messages, or just a mere greeting on their Wall will do.

So how will you spend today's event? Some spend their entire day in the mall. There are couples would go to a picnic or a restaurant to eat. There are bars and restaurants who holds Valentine's program, doing match making contest which helps one find a date. There are also people who will have it in motels.

As for me, this day is just an ordinary one. I already greet the people closest to me and tonight I have work... WTF!!! Hahaha!!! It's okay, for as long as I have my family and friends, I'm contended already... Again Happy Valentine's Day to all!! =)

Glee Character Of the Week: Sunshine Corazon

Sunshine Corazon is this week's Glee's character. The role is being played by YouTube sensation Charice. Sunshine is a foreign exchange student from the Philippines and her first appearance was in the first episode of Glee Season 2 (Audition).

Rachel invites her to glee club after seeing Sunshine sing along to New Directions' version of "Empire State of Mind", mistakenly thinking that Sunshine was adoring her. When Rachel heard her version of "Telephone", she was threatened that if Sunshine could make it to the glee club, she might replace her as the lead singer, so Rachel sent her to a crack house. This scene created threads of discussion in most of the social networking sites. Because of the popularity of this scene, parodies were also made to imitate the two.

Sunshine wowed the entire Glee club when she sang "Listen" in her audition and after her performance, Will welcomed her to the group. Will was advised that she will no longer take the offer to become a member of the glee club and instead she will be joining the Vocal Adrenaline which is New Direction's competitor.

I hope that she will make several appearances in the upcoming episodes of Glee Season 2.

Top 10 Best Duet Love Songs Of All Time

Duets is what we call when two people collaborate on a particular song. Honestly, I'm so fascinated once I hear songs of this genre. I can't help but to sing along. It seems that I feel the love that the song wants me to feel. With this, I checked the best love duets of all time. Here is the TOP 10 BEST DUET LOVE SONGS OF ALL TIME:

10. "You and I"- This 1982 love song duet is performed by country music stars Eddie Rabbit and Crystal Gayle. This single became a big country music crossover hit. The over-the-top combination of the singers' voices let music lovers know that both stars could share the spotlight.

9. "Almost Paradise"- Loverboy lead singer Mike Reno and Heart singer Ann Wilson sang this song in 1984 when the movie "Footloose" debuted. It quickly became a top ten hit love song duet peaking at number seven on the Billboard Charts. The vocals are a perfect match on this best love song duet.

8. "Baby Come To Me"- This R&B single performed by James Ingram and Patti Austin was released in 1982. The smooth R&B tone is heard throughout the song and makes lovers want to sway hips and caress. It's another exceptional love song duet.

7. "The Next Time I Fall"-  "Chicago's" lead singer Peter Cetera and Amy Grant perform this 1986 classic love song duet with it being featured on Cetera's album "Solitude/Solitaire". The combined vocals tell of a sweet budding romance between two people and what will happen when a meeting takes place.

6. "Never Gonna Let You Go"- This 1983 song's fame is credited to band Sergio Mendez with singers Joe Pizzulo and Leza Miller on vocals. The combined vocals hit every note and the lyrics tell of unconditional love. It's a faultless addition to the top ten best love song duets.

5. "Endless Love"- Performed in 1981 by super stars Lionel Richie and Diana Rossi, this song catapulted to the top of the Billboard Charts after the release of the self-titled movie. The breathless singing by both singers is phenomenal and holds a high ranking as one of the top ten best love song duets of all time.

4. "It's Your Love"- This song was the first single released from country music star "Tim McGraw's" 1997 Album "Everywhere". Singing along side her husband is country songstress Faith Hill in this dynamic love song duet. The song reaches the hearts of all who listen.

3. "Tonight I Celebrate My Love For You"- This love song duet was performed in 1983 by Peabo Bryson and Roberta Flack and was a huge success for both singers. It was in the top 25 hit singles that year and the smooth melodic lyrics are perfect for an evening of slow dancing and romance.

2. "Cruisin'" - Gwyneth Paltrow and Huey Lewis performed a cover of the song in the 2000 film Duets. The song is included on the soundtrack of the film. The duet spent one week at number one on the Adult Contemporary chart.

1. "Always" - was the second single from All In The Name Of Love, the seventh album from R&B group, Atlantic Starr. The song went to number one on both the Hot Black Singles and Billboard Hot 100 charts in June 1987. The song also spent two weeks atop the U.S. adult contemporary chart. In July, it also topped the Canadian RPM 100 national singles chart, where it remained for two weeks.

I hope I can find my own duet... =)

Best J.S. Prom Songs

Since it's the season for love, many schools are having their J.S. Prom Night. This can be considered as one of the highlights in one's high school life. Students really prepare, find the best dress and partner for that night. Do you still remember how your J.S. Prom went through when you were still in high school? Still remember the songs that made you ask your partner to have a dance with you? If you don't, let me refresh your mind by giving you my top five J.S. Prom songs.

5. Wonderful Tonight - a song written by Eric Clapton. It was included on Clapton's 1977 album Slowhand and released as a single the following year. Clapton wrote the song about Pattie Boyd, and it is mentioned in her autobiographical book Wonderful Tonight: George Harrison, Eric Clapton, and Me. The song was a modest hit upon its release, charting at #16 in the US and #30 in the UK.

4. Valentine - is the title of a song co-written and recorded by American adult contemporary artist Jim Brickman, with a guest vocal from Martina McBride. It first appeared on his 1997 album Picture This, and later on McBride's album Evolution.

3. It Might Be You - is a popular song with music written by Dave Grusin, and lyrics written by Alan and Marilyn Bergman. It was performed by singer/songwriter Stephen Bishop in the 1982 film, Tootsie, starring Dustin Hoffman and Jessica Lange. Bishop's recording peaked at No. 25 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart on May 7, 1983, and spent eight weeks in the Top 40. It also spent two weeks at No. 1 on the adult contemporary chart in April the same year.

2. More Than You'll Ever Know - is a song written and recorded by country music artist Travis Tritt. It is the lead-off single released from his 1996 album The Restless Kind. It peaked at #3 in the United States, and #7 in Canada.

1. King And Queen Of Hearts - this song was sung by David Pomeranz. It is the most commonly used J.S. Prom song being played once the King and Queen Of The Night are being announced and have their dance moment.

It's really nice reminiscing J.S Prom more if you have good memories of it. There's a lot more songs being played in this event but I consider the five listed above the best! ♥♥♥

Love Needs No Reason

Lady: Why do you like me..? Why do you love me?

Man: I can’t tell the reason.. but I really like you..

Lady: You can’t even tell me the reason…How can you say you like me? How can you say you love me?

Man: I really don’t know the reason, but I can prove

that I love you.

Lady: Proof? No! I want you to tell me the reason. My friend’s boyfriend can tell her why he loves her but not you!

Man: Ok ok!!! Erm… because you’re beautiful, because your voice is sweet, because you are caring, because you are loving, because you are thoughtful, because of your smile, because of your every movements..

Unfortunately, a few days later, the Lady met with an accident and became a vegetable. The Guy then placed a letter by her side, and here is the content:

Dearest,

Because of your sweet voice that I love you… Now can you talk? No! Therefore I cannot love you. Because of your care and concern that I like you.. Now that you cannot show them, therefore I cannot love you.
Because of your smile, because of your every movements that I love you.. Now can you smile? Now can you move? No, therefore I cannot love you… If love needs a reason, like now, there is no reason for me to love you anymore. But does love need a reason? I still love you… Because love doesn’t need one.

Learning The Australian Culture

On my previous blog, I made mention that I was transferred to Optus, which is an Australian account. Our trainer, Mike discussed the noted facts about Australia this morning.

First, its capital which is Canberra (the stress is on the first syllable... well that's somewhat new to me because previously, I'm putting the stress on the second syllable... now i know how to pronounce it right!).

Mike also showed us some of the country's best places such as The Sydney Opera House and The Uluru (others call it Ayer's Rock, notable for appearing to change colour as the different light strikes it at different times of the day and year, with sunset a particularly remarkable sight when it briefly glows red. Although rainfall is uncommon in this semiarid area, during wet periods the rock acquires a silvery-grey colour, with streaks of black algae forming on the areas that serve as channels for water flow.)

Sydney Opera House

Uluru/Ayers Rock

He also flashed Australia's flora and fauna as well. Included  were kangaroos, koala, and the seawater crocodile which is larger than the Komodo Dragon.

The topic got intense when he introduced the vowel sounds in the Australian accent. They are somewhat similar to the British English but with a "twang" and "drawl". When he let us hear a  few words, luckily, I was able to get most of the words. There are still words I did not understand, because I'm not so into it. Their accent is thick and there is a tendency that you might write another word which sounds the same. We're just starting with the phonemes but I know there's a lot more to come.

I'm starting to love learning a new accent, will there be a time that I can call myself an Aussie??? How I wish... Hahahaha!!! =)

LOVE 101

There are times when friendship steps into another level, and that is love. Happy are those people who finds the other pair of their slippers, like they say. It's such a wonderful feeling when you are in love and that person is loving you back. It feels that time stops for the both of you and everything is falling in it's place. We tend to share our feelings and aspirations with our significant other. So, here are some LOVE quotes:

Don't find love, let love find you. That's why it's called falling in love, because you don't force yourself to fall, you just fall.

Lucky is the man who is the first love of a woman, but luckier is the woman who is the last love of a man.

It takes a minute to have a crush on someone, an hour to like someone, and an day to love someone...but it takes a lifetime to forget someone.

It breaks your heart to see the one you love is happy with someone else, but it's more painful to know that the one you love is unhappy with you.

I believe that to truly Love, is the ultimate expression of the will to live. A heart that truly loves is forever young.

Who do you turn to when the only person in the world that can stop you from crying,is exactly the one making you cry?

We come to love not by finding a perfect person, but by learning to see an imperfect person perfectly.

Love, true love, is that which can give the most without asking or demanding anything in return.

It is wrong to think that love comes from long companionship and persevering courtship. Love is the offspring of spiritual affinity and unless that affinity is created in a moment, it will not be created for years or even generations.

Never say goodbye when you still want to try.Never give up when you still feel you can take it. Never say you don't love a person when you can't let go.

Feeling the love already??? I bet!!! Ha ha ha ha!!! =)
