Funny Commercials From Selecta Cornetto

Selecta Cornetto launched its new ice cream variant which is Choco Java. We all know that Selecta Cornetto's commercials in the past were all hit because of their antics how a Stef Cadayona would spend his twenty peso bill. And now they're back with another two new commercials to make us laugh. I really rolled over when I saw these commercials:

Video Store

Sweater Commercial

Regine Velasquez on Nestle's 100th Year Commercial

I was amazed when I saw the new commercial of Nestle celebrating their 100th year in the business and in the lives of the Filipinos. The theme song was sang by no other than the Asia's Songbird Regine Velasquez. Congratulations Nestle and good job for getting Regine Velasquez in this commercial!

Glee Character Of The Week: Mike Chang

Mike Chang is our Glee character for this week. The role is being played by Harry Shum, Jr. Let's get to know him better.

He made his first appearance in episode 4: Preggers of Glee Season 1. His first performance was with Kurt, Tina, Brittany and the McKinley High Football Team of the song "Single ladies" by Beyonce Knowles.

He is a dancer and a football player. He is better known as the Asian with abs. He served as a backup for the team at first but eventually he was able to have performances of his own or with a partner. His noted performance was "Sing" with Tina Cohen.

He may be not into singing, but he is really great when it comes to dancing. This is one of the factors why they won the Sectionals in Glee Season 2. In their performance "Valerie", he is the partner of Brittany took the lead dance.

He also gained a girlfriend by joining New Directions and she is Tina Cohen. So far their relationship is in good shape. The two looks good together, two Asians... Hahaha!!! =)

I'm still looking forward for more amazing performances from Mike, may it be dance or song performance!!! =)

The Optus Training Experience

In my previous blog, I've mentioned that I transferred accounts from Time Warner Cable, and now I'm with Optus, an Australian account.

At first, I must say that I'm a bit scared because the training would be a whole new experience. It's new because, first new set of learning's, second, new accent and lastly, new tools to learn. I had to make adjustments at the start of training because I need to unlearn most of the things that I know with my previous account. Good thing, I already have technical background with troubleshooting Internet connection issues, so the adjustment went smoothly.

Our trainer was funny yet knowledgeable, I must say. He always insert jokes and lines when he discuss our modules but he makes sure that everyone learns the processes.

The new set of wave mates I have were cool and very outgoing.I became close to them as soon possible. The class has different antics like if one wave mate is sleeping then he or she would get a photo taken and that photo will be uploaded in Facebook. Every Friday after shift, we always go out to unwind, either have lunch or drinking sessions... I would definitely miss this guys

Right now, our wave is at the last toll gate of our training and that is fish bowling. Just like nesting, we are given the chance to take in calls to apply all the things what we've learned.

Over-all, my training experience was wonderful and if given the chance, I would love to have training again! =)

Glee Character Of The Week: Sam Evans

Our Glee character for this week is Sam Evans. His role is being portrayed by Chord Overstreet. Sam's first appearance was in Episode 1: Audition of Glee Season 2. He is a transfer student who joined the football team. He was recruited by Finn and his first vocal performance together with the New Directions boys was "Billionaire" by Travie Mccoy.

In Season 2 episode 4: Duets, he paired up with Quinn to cover the song "Lucky" by Colbie Caillat and Jason Mraz where they won over the other duets. Eventually they fell in love after that performance.

Because their pair won in that episode, they were chosen to pilot the New Directions' performance in the Sectionals with "The Time Of My Life".

So far, his best solo performance for me was when he did the cover song for "Baby" by Justin Bieber. he was able to imbibe the young heartthrob because of his hair color and his dance moves.

I'm so excited on what Sam can still show in the next episodes of Glee.

Episode 16 Review: Original Songs

The New Directions this week goes original, as in original songs. Although, the show still featured cover songs but the highlight is on the songs that are fresh and new.

Episode highlight 1: Kurt confesses to Blaine of his jealousy that the Warblers  always choose Blaine to be their front act performer. Blaine was moved by his statement and so he raised to the council that for Regionals, he must perform with Kurt and the entire council agreed to him. In their practice, Blaine finally reciprocates his feelings for Kurt with a kiss. There was a cut in the scene, good thing, there is the full video in Youtube.

Episode highlight 2: Because Quinn is scared that Finn and Rachel would be together again, she befriended Rachel and supported her idea of original songs. They had a confrontation because of Finn, leading Rachel to write her song alone.

Episode highlight 3: Its the Regionals, and there are three glee clubs competing for the title "First Place". Aural Intensity started the performance. The second group to perform were the Warblers, and lastly the New Directions. The New Directions won the competition (Thanks to Sue Sylvester, they were able to come up with a great original song). Her are their performances:

In this episode, there were a total of eleven songs played, five of them are cover songs and the rest are all original. The cover songs were "Misery" (Maroon 5) , "Blackbird" (The Beatles), "Candles" (Hey Monday), "Raise Your Glass" (Pink). The first four songs are all from Dalton Academy Warblers. Aural Intensity performed the song "Jesus Is My Friend" (Sonseed). The original songs were "Only Child" by Rachel, "TroutyMouth" by Santana and Tina, "Big Ass... Heart" by Puck, "Hell To The No" by Mercedes, "Get It Right" by Rachel, and lastly, "Losers Like Me" by the New Directions.

I like this episode because there are a lot of songs and the best is that the New Directions won the competition. Winning the Regionals mean they are now heading Nationals... Go New Directions!!! =)

Glee Character Of the Week: Holly Holiday

This week's Glee character in my blog is Holly Holiday. The role is being portrayed by a well known singer and actress Gwyneth Paltrow.

Her first appearance is with episode 7: The Substitute where she temporarily takes over the Glee club because Will Schuester was out and sick. Her first vocal performance was "Forget You" by Cee Lo Green. Here is the video.

The New Directions had a chance to sing with her and eventually get close to her. Their most noted performance together is the mash-up of Umbrella and Singing In The Rain. That performance was so cool and the choreography was great. Here is the video.

She made a comeback in episode 15: Sexy as a sex education teacher. It seems that she is the next love interest of Will Schuester.

I hope that she can make several appearance in the series and for sure, I'll be more than happy to stay tuned.

Another Natural Disaster

Another natural disaster has been reported hours ago and it's still hot in the news. Mother Nature is really powerful because even the super power country like Japan experienced its wrath. This is the earthquake which has a magnitude of 8.9 and the tsunami. We all know that if there are earthquakes in coastal areas, there will also be tsunamis. Government in Philippines placed some provinces in the Tsunami Alert status as preparation for the tsunami. Here are some photos:

Let us all pray the people in Japan, may it be their citizen or our OFW's. Let us also pray for the people in the eastern coast of the Philippine Islands. God is good and I know all of us can get through this.

Best Fight Scenes In Movies

Yesterday, I had the chance to check all the DVD's and VCD's I have at home, I found two, which were Naked Weapon and DOA (Dead Or Alive). So I watched it again. Honestly, this is not the first time for me to see those movies, but these movies cannot be ignored. The fight scenes were awesome! It brings shiver to my spine everytime I see those punches, kicks, lifts and the coordination of their hand movements for defense. After I watch those two movies, I decided to borrow another VCD from a friend, and that is So Close. I also saw this movie for the nth time. I must say that these three movies thrills me a lot! Here are cideo clips of the best fight scenes for every movie:

So Close

Naked Weapon

D.O.A. (Dead Or Alive)

I won't hesitate to watch these three movies again, and again and again! Promise! =)

Glee Character Of The Week: Lauren Zizes

This week, we have Lauren Zizes as our Glee character. Her role is being played by Ashley Fink and has appeared in Glee since its first season episode titled "Wheels", first broadcast on November 11, 2009. Lauren is is the McKinley High AV club president and a state champion in Greco-Roman wrestling. She has an acerbic personality and is admired by Puck for being "a bigger bad-ass" than he is. She has a love of candy, specifically Cadbury Creme Eggs.

Lauren joined the glee club in the second season in episode 9 entitled "Special Education". With her addition, the glee club was able to meet the quota for sectionals.

Lauren's first solo performance was in episode 13: Comeback, where she sang "I Know What Boys Like" where she pictured all the people in the choir room almost naked.

She is one of the characters I like in the series that makes me laugh with her every appearance.

Hard @ Work...

As call center agents, I must say that our industry requires a lot of endurance. Most of the training sessions are in the evening and because of this, our body clock needs to adjust. However, there are times when the body couldn't help it and we fall asleep while on training. Here are the evidences, photos courtesy of Gerard Noriega and Kim Vargas:

Finding Love Quotes

After all the heartaches and the moving on stage, one must go on and continue to find for the right person. We are like searching for the other pair of our slippers. So, here are some quotes about finding love:

Anonymous
True love is not something that comes everyday, follow your heart, it knows the right answer.

Mignon McLaughlin
Love unlocks doors and opens windows that weren't even there before.

Helen Rowland
Falling in love consists merely in uncorking the imagination and bottling the common sense.

Charles du Bos
Love does not care to define and is never in a hurry to do so.

D. H. Lawrence
Those that go searching for love, only manifest their own loveless ness. And the loveless never find love, only the loving find love. And they never have to seek for it.

Anonymous
It's so easy to fall in love but hard to find someone who will catch you.

Timothy Oliveira
There are two kinds of sparks, the one that goes off with a hitch like a match, but it burns quickly. The other is the kind that needs time, but when the flame strikes... it's eternal, don't forget that.

Werner Erhard
You don't have to go looking for love when it's where you come from.

Anonymous
Sometimes the one thing you are looking for is the one thing you can't see.

David Byrne
Sometimes it's a form of love just to talk to somebody that you have nothing in common with and still be fascinated by their presence.

Albert Ellis
The art of love... is largely the art of persistence.

Anonymous
It is never too late to fall in love.

Carl Ewald
Take spring when it comes and rejoice. Take happiness when it comes and rejoice. Take love when it comes and rejoice.

Ryan Erickson
The road to finding 'the one' is paved with a bit of promiscuity.

Mark Twain
When you fish for love, bait with your heart, not your brain.

Robert Mitchum
Maybe love is like luck. You have to go all the way to find it.

Anonymous
Nothing compares with the finding of true love; because once you do your heart is complete.

Tom Robbins
We waste time looking for the perfect lover, instead of creating the perfect love.

Hope you can find the other pair of your slippers and I'm sure that person is also looking for you... =)

Breakfast At Krispy Kreme...

One of my wave mates this morning suggested for us to have breakfast at Krispy Kreme along Ayala Avenue. At first I thought it will just be the original peeps who will be with us but this is something new, our other wave mates played a trick on us saying that they could not come but they were the ones who informed us that the store is not yet open... Hahaha! One point for them! Although, we were not in one table because we were more than ten and onere table is not enough, I'm still happy that we had a chance to be with our other wave mates. Here are some of the photos I've taken:
