Attack Of The Gleeks: Character Of the Week: Will Schuester

Our Glee character of the week is Will Schuester. The role is being portrayed by Matthew Morrison. He is the Spanish teacher who accepted the additional task as the director of New Directions. He is often seen wearing a vest in all episodes.

He is always there to defend the members of the New Directions glee club from their arch-nemesis, Sue Sylvester. He is also the former husband of Terri Schuester (Jessalyn Gilsig). He also had a romantic affair with Emma Pillsbury (Jayma Mays), the guidance counselor of McKinley Hill High. In season 2, he starts relationship with Holly Holiday played by Gwyneth Paltrow.

He also did a lot of performance on the show, may it be solo or with the group. But for me, his best performance was in season 2 episode 8: Furt. when he sang "Sway".

It's a good thing he is always there to guide our beloved glee club members! Cheers to you Will!!!

Glee Character Of The Week: Shannon Beiste

This week's Glee Character is Shannon Beiste. The role is being played by Dot-Marie Jones. She is better known as Coach Beiste and the head coach of the football team as replacement for Ken Tanaka.

She made her first appearance in the first episode of Season 2 (Audition). At first, Will and Sue did not like her because the budget for the Glee Club and the Cheerios was cut into half. The two did things to throw her out of the school but they weren't successful. In the later part of the first episode, Will turned againsts Sue and apologized to Coach Beiste. She was about to quit in episode 6 (Never been Kissed) because the boys (and Tina) from the glee club use mental images of Beiste in a compromising position to "cool themselves off" when it gets too hot and heavy with their girlfriends.Will talked to her and found out that she has never been kissed which lead him to give the first kiss to Coach Beiste.

Her first vocal performance was in episode 14 (Blame It On The Alcohol) with One Bourbon, One Scotch, One Beer together with Will.

Over-all, I can say that Coach Beiste may look furious but she is a kind-hearted person.

Glee Character Of The Week: Emma Pillsbury

 

Emma Pillsbury  is our featured Glee Character Of The Week. She is being portrayed by Jayma Mays. Emma is a mysophobic guidance counselor who loves Will Scheuster but got romantically involved with Dr. Carl Howell, a dentist by profession.

Her scenes are mostly shot in the guidance counselor's room, although there are other scenes that were shot outside, and some in bedroom like when they cover the song "Like A Virgin" in "the Power Of Madonna" episode in Season 1.

In episode 9 of Season 2, Emma revealed that she is already married to Dr.Howell, and it broke Will and decided to stay away from her.
