Glee Character Of The Week: Shannon Beiste

This week's Glee Character is Shannon Beiste. The role is being played by Dot-Marie Jones. She is better known as Coach Beiste and the head coach of the football team as replacement for Ken Tanaka.

She made her first appearance in the first episode of Season 2 (Audition). At first, Will and Sue did not like her because the budget for the Glee Club and the Cheerios was cut into half. The two did things to throw her out of the school but they weren't successful. In the later part of the first episode, Will turned againsts Sue and apologized to Coach Beiste. She was about to quit in episode 6 (Never been Kissed) because the boys (and Tina) from the glee club use mental images of Beiste in a compromising position to "cool themselves off" when it gets too hot and heavy with their girlfriends. Will talked to her and found out that she has never been kissed which lead him to give the first kiss to Coach Beiste.

Her first vocal performance was in episode 14 (Blame It On The Alcohol) with One Bourbon, One Scotch, One Beer together with Will.

Over-all, I can say that Coach Beiste may look furious but she is a kind-hearted person.

My Top Five Songs For Moving On

After every heartache, there is only one thing to do and that is to move on. We cannot just live in misery of the heartbreak for the rest of our lives. One must learn how to accept that some things must come to an end and to look at the brighter side of life. So, this blog will feature my top five MOVING ON songs:

5. I Will Survive By Gloria Gaynor

4. Survivor By Destiny's Child

3. I Never Really Love You Anyway By The Corrs

2. Irreplaceable By Beyonce Knowles

1. Since You've Been Gone By Kelly Clarkson

There are a lot of songs that can be associated with moving on but these are the best for me... =)

DLSU Lady Spikers: UAAP Season 73 Champions

Lately, I've been glued in front of our television every Wednesdays and Saturdays just to watch the 73rd season of the UAAP. Since volleyball is one of my interests, the DSLU Lady Spikers caught my attention. For this season, they end up facing UST Tigresses for the championship.

UST Tigresses' front player Aiza Maizo is the best player when it comes to defense, spiking and ball handling. She had been a threat to the Lady Spikers even though she is experiencing back pains. But nevertheless, I believe that if it is your interest, nothing and no one can hinder you from playing. I must say, she is unstoppable when the ball is thrown to her. The UST Tigresses did a wonderful game and they made it difficult for the Lady Spikers to grab the championship title.

The DSLU Lady Spikers line up for the first six was awesome. Mikaela Esperanza, the tosser can bring the ball to any directions with ease. When it comes to their defense, Michelle Gumabao is their best blocker. Their attackers will make you roll to the floor, namely, Jacq Alarca, Abigail MaraƱo, Cha Cruz and Stephanie Mercado.

The finals of the UAAP Women's Volleyball for this season, ended with 3 sets. Cha Cruz was hailed MVP for the finals game. Awards were also given to the other Lady Spikers. Mikaela Esperanza is the Rookie Of The Year, Michelle Gumabao was awarded Best Blocker and Jacq Alarca got three awards, Best Spiker, Best Server and MVP for the entire season.

To the DLSU Lady Spikers... Good Job and Animo La Salle!!! =)

My Second Time In Pansol With Team Dada

I remember the first time I've ever been to Pansol, Laguna, it was last January of 2008 with Team Zycopaths, my team in PeopleSupport. It was a lot of fun and we stayed there overnight. This time, I just went to Pansol, Laguna the other day to join Boss Dada and the rest of her agents for their team building. Of course, as her previous agent, I'm glad that I reunited with them. Together with Boss Dada were Eleazar Basila, Richard Santos, Jennifer Polinar, Zarabeth Teodoro, Caen Palangdao, Lester Sarreal, Emjay Casil, Chums Almendra and Max Bejado. It was a three hour trip from Makati to SM Calamba because of traffic jam. We reached Pansol at 2P.M. The place was good. I wasn't able to stay overnight because I have training on that day and I need to go back to Makati.  Here are some of the photos:

Other photos can be found in our Facebook page. Thanks Team Dada!!! I really enjoyed being reunited with you guys!!! =)

Glee Character Of the Week: Blaine Anderson

Our Glee character for this week is Blaine Anderson. This role is being played by Darren Criss. Blaine Anderson is a gay student at Dalton Academy and a member of the Warblers, a 2010 Sectionals rival of New Directions. The character is a love interest for Kurt. His character first appeared in Glee Season 2 episode 6: Never Been Kissed and the first song that he performed together with the Warblers is "Teenage Dream" by Katy Perry.

He made the next appearances as the episodes go on. Somewhat he became friends with the New Directions because of Kurt Hummel. The Warblers performed "Hey Soul Sister" by Train in the Sectionals.

As of the moment, I'm still waiting for Blaine's best performance and as to when, I'm not sure but I'm sure there will be and I'll wait for it. =)
