Episode 13: Comeback: A Review

Episode 13 of Glee Season 2 had its airing yesterday and it is entitled: Comeback. There are no guest stars for this episode.

These week's episode highlights, first, Sue tried to commit suicide because of her depression due to the loss of at the Cheerleading Regionals. Emma asked Will to let Sue join the Glee Club for a week. But Sue secretly revealed that she wants to destroy the group from the inside. She attempted to turn Mercedes and Rachel against each other.Angry, the girls have a vocal "diva-off" at glee club rehearsals and sing "Take Me or Leave Me" by Rent. Sue did not succeed with her plan.

Second episode highlight, Sam formed a Justin Bieber tribute band to impress Quinn, and sings "Baby" to woo her from Finn. Earlier, Quinn lied to Sam that she did not kiss Finn but had saved his life by extracting a gumball from a choking Finn's mouth. Artie and Mike are concerned that their girlfriends are coming down from a "Valentine's day high" and Puck wants to impress Lauren Zizes, so they join "The Justin Bieber Experience". Together they perform "Somebody to Love" and the boys' suitably impressed girlfriends show their affection. I was also amazed by Lauren's debut solo performance of "I Know What Boys Like" by The Waitresses.

Third episode highlight, Santana confronts Sam about his relationship with Quinn. She explains to Sam that he knows Quinn kissed Finn but that he was willing to believe her story to stay with her, and that he has an opportunity to show everyone that he is not a pushover. Santana then proceeds to proposition Sam. Quinn was impressed by Sam's Bieber-inspired performance but Sam confronts her about her encounter with Finn and states that he is now dating Santana.

Over-all impression: I can say that so far, this is the best episode ever since the hit series came back. I love the performance of Sam Evans for Baby, I love the dance steps, however, this will not make me a Justin Bieber fan... Hahaha!!! =)

Happy Valentine's Day!!!

It's February 14 again... not a holiday nor double pay, but still a happy occasion because we celebrate the day of hearts.

Probably, your social networking sites such as Facebook and Twitter just like mine are flooded with Valentine's Greetings for today. People upload photos, tags other people, send personal messages, or just a mere greeting on their Wall will do.

So how will you spend today's event? Some spend their entire day in the mall. There are couples would go to a picnic or a restaurant to eat. There are bars and restaurants who holds Valentine's program, doing match making contest which helps one find a date. There are also people who will have it in motels.

As for me, this day is just an ordinary one. I already greet the people closest to me and tonight I have work... WTF!!! Hahaha!!! It's okay, for as long as I have my family and friends, I'm contended already... Again Happy Valentine's Day to all!! =)

Glee Character Of the Week: Sunshine Corazon

Sunshine Corazon is this week's Glee's character. The role is being played by YouTube sensation Charice. Sunshine is a foreign exchange student from the Philippines and her first appearance was in the first episode of Glee Season 2 (Audition).

Rachel invites her to glee club after seeing Sunshine sing along to New Directions' version of "Empire State of Mind", mistakenly thinking that Sunshine was adoring her. When Rachel heard her version of "Telephone", she was threatened that if Sunshine could make it to the glee club, she might replace her as the lead singer, so Rachel sent her to a crack house. This scene created threads of discussion in most of the social networking sites. Because of the popularity of this scene, parodies were also made to imitate the two.

Sunshine wowed the entire Glee club when she sang "Listen" in her audition and after her performance, Will welcomed her to the group. Will was advised that she will no longer take the offer to become a member of the glee club and instead she will be joining the Vocal Adrenaline which is New Direction's competitor.

I hope that she will make several appearances in the upcoming episodes of Glee Season 2.

Top 10 Best Duet Love Songs Of All Time

Duets is what we call when two people collaborate on a particular song. Honestly, I'm so fascinated once I hear songs of this genre. I can't help but to sing along. It seems that I feel the love that the song wants me to feel. With this, I checked the best love duets of all time. Here is the TOP 10 BEST DUET LOVE SONGS OF ALL TIME:

10. "You and I"- This 1982 love song duet is performed by country music stars Eddie Rabbit and Crystal Gayle. This single became a big country music crossover hit. The over-the-top combination of the singers' voices let music lovers know that both stars could share the spotlight.

9. "Almost Paradise"- Loverboy lead singer Mike Reno and Heart singer Ann Wilson sang this song in 1984 when the movie "Footloose" debuted. It quickly became a top ten hit love song duet peaking at number seven on the Billboard Charts. The vocals are a perfect match on this best love song duet.

8. "Baby Come To Me"- This R&B single performed by James Ingram and Patti Austin was released in 1982. The smooth R&B tone is heard throughout the song and makes lovers want to sway hips and caress. It's another exceptional love song duet.

7. "The Next Time I Fall"-  "Chicago's" lead singer Peter Cetera and Amy Grant perform this 1986 classic love song duet with it being featured on Cetera's album "Solitude/Solitaire". The combined vocals tell of a sweet budding romance between two people and what will happen when a meeting takes place.

6. "Never Gonna Let You Go"- This 1983 song's fame is credited to band Sergio Mendez with singers Joe Pizzulo and Leza Miller on vocals. The combined vocals hit every note and the lyrics tell of unconditional love. It's a faultless addition to the top ten best love song duets.

5. "Endless Love"- Performed in 1981 by super stars Lionel Richie and Diana Rossi, this song catapulted to the top of the Billboard Charts after the release of the self-titled movie. The breathless singing by both singers is phenomenal and holds a high ranking as one of the top ten best love song duets of all time.

4. "It's Your Love"- This song was the first single released from country music star "Tim McGraw's" 1997 Album "Everywhere". Singing along side her husband is country songstress Faith Hill in this dynamic love song duet. The song reaches the hearts of all who listen.

3. "Tonight I Celebrate My Love For You"- This love song duet was performed in 1983 by Peabo Bryson and Roberta Flack and was a huge success for both singers. It was in the top 25 hit singles that year and the smooth melodic lyrics are perfect for an evening of slow dancing and romance.

2. "Cruisin'" - Gwyneth Paltrow and Huey Lewis performed a cover of the song in the 2000 film Duets. The song is included on the soundtrack of the film. The duet spent one week at number one on the Adult Contemporary chart.

1. "Always" - was the second single from All In The Name Of Love, the seventh album from R&B group, Atlantic Starr. The song went to number one on both the Hot Black Singles and Billboard Hot 100 charts in June 1987. The song also spent two weeks atop the U.S. adult contemporary chart. In July, it also topped the Canadian RPM 100 national singles chart, where it remained for two weeks.

I hope I can find my own duet... =)

Best J.S. Prom Songs

Since it's the season for love, many schools are having their J.S. Prom Night. This can be considered as one of the highlights in one's high school life. Students really prepare, find the best dress and partner for that night. Do you still remember how your J.S. Prom went through when you were still in high school? Still remember the songs that made you ask your partner to have a dance with you? If you don't, let me refresh your mind by giving you my top five J.S. Prom songs.

5. Wonderful Tonight - a song written by Eric Clapton. It was included on Clapton's 1977 album Slowhand and released as a single the following year. Clapton wrote the song about Pattie Boyd, and it is mentioned in her autobiographical book Wonderful Tonight: George Harrison, Eric Clapton, and Me. The song was a modest hit upon its release, charting at #16 in the US and #30 in the UK.

4. Valentine - is the title of a song co-written and recorded by American adult contemporary artist Jim Brickman, with a guest vocal from Martina McBride. It first appeared on his 1997 album Picture This, and later on McBride's album Evolution.

3. It Might Be You - is a popular song with music written by Dave Grusin, and lyrics written by Alan and Marilyn Bergman. It was performed by singer/songwriter Stephen Bishop in the 1982 film, Tootsie, starring Dustin Hoffman and Jessica Lange. Bishop's recording peaked at No. 25 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart on May 7, 1983, and spent eight weeks in the Top 40. It also spent two weeks at No. 1 on the adult contemporary chart in April the same year.

2. More Than You'll Ever Know - is a song written and recorded by country music artist Travis Tritt. It is the lead-off single released from his 1996 album The Restless Kind. It peaked at #3 in the United States, and #7 in Canada.

1. King And Queen Of Hearts - this song was sung by David Pomeranz. It is the most commonly used J.S. Prom song being played once the King and Queen Of The Night are being announced and have their dance moment.

It's really nice reminiscing J.S Prom more if you have good memories of it. There's a lot more songs being played in this event but I consider the five listed above the best! ♥♥♥

Love Needs No Reason

Lady: Why do you like me..? Why do you love me?

Man: I can’t tell the reason.. but I really like you..

Lady: You can’t even tell me the reason…How can you say you like me? How can you say you love me?

Man: I really don’t know the reason, but I can prove

that I love you.

Lady: Proof? No! I want you to tell me the reason. My friend’s boyfriend can tell her why he loves her but not you!

Man: Ok ok!!! Erm… because you’re beautiful, because your voice is sweet, because you are caring, because you are loving, because you are thoughtful, because of your smile, because of your every movements..

Unfortunately, a few days later, the Lady met with an accident and became a vegetable. The Guy then placed a letter by her side, and here is the content:

Dearest,

Because of your sweet voice that I love you… Now can you talk? No! Therefore I cannot love you. Because of your care and concern that I like you.. Now that you cannot show them, therefore I cannot love you.
Because of your smile, because of your every movements that I love you.. Now can you smile? Now can you move? No, therefore I cannot love you… If love needs a reason, like now, there is no reason for me to love you anymore. But does love need a reason? I still love you… Because love doesn’t need one.
