Couch Potato Madness: The End Of Harry Potter Saga: A Review

Just got home from watching Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows Part 2. I watched it together with my workmate Karen Dar Juan. Imagine, it was expensive because I watched it in Glorietta. I travelled from Cavite all the way to Makati just to watch this. Good thing, the movie never failed me.

PLUS POINTS OF THE MOVIE:

- The special effects were great. it seems that the production staff really put their best foot forward for this film.
- There are funny scenes and reactions from the cast which made all of us inside the cinema laughed.
- The revelation of the past events was executed in a good way.
- The magic spells are awesome!
- Harry's body is so hot, hot, hot!
- The son of Harry Potter was good looking.

DELTA POINTS OF THE MOVIE:

- There is only one, I just noticed that Harry's scar is at the left side of his forehead, however, the scar on  baby Harry's forehead is located at the right portion. This is kinda misleading.

Over-all, I give this movie 5 stars still because of the special effects and the humor it brought to its audience.

I'm just thinking, now that Harry Potter Saga has ended, what will happen to Daniel Radcliffe? Will he be stuck in the persona of Harry Potter forever or will he be accepting another role to introduce another fictional character? Will the Harry Potter craze ends after this? Anyways, one thing for sure, Harry Potter will live forever and will always be remembered. Thanks Daniel Radcliffe for bringing Hogwarts and the world of wizardry in our hearts for a decade. Kudos, great job for portraying Harry Potter!

Couch Potato Madness: Tranformers: Dark Of The Moon: A Review

I know it's a bit late for this review, I'm just busy with other things.

The Autobots and the Decepticons came back to the movie scene with the third sequel of Transformers series with Dark Of The Moon.

This movie, I must say includes almost everything, drama, comedy, suspense, history, and most of all... ACTION! I loved all the scenes, especially the robots that were featured. The scenes are breath-taking. It seems real as you watch it. The performances of the main casts Shia LaBeouf and Rosie Huntington-Whiteley were awesome as well. I'm just thinking that now that Megatron was killed, if there will be another installment for this movie.

For this movie, I would rate it Five Stars. There is no dull moment in this movie. It exceeded my expectations and gave a wow factor to its viewers!

Couch Potato Madness: Green Lantern: A Movie Review

Yesterday, since it was my vacation leave from work, I decided to watch Green Lantern at SM DasmariƱas. The movie stars Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively.

This is the story of Hal Jordan who was chosen by the ring first worn by Abin Sur, a member of the Guardians Of The Universe who died after escaping from Parallax, the main antagonist of the film. The theme of the movie is conquering one's fear. It was stated that the ring becomes stronger if the person wearing it has a strong will.

I was a bit fascinated with the trailer when I first saw the entire movie, I realized that it was just like the other movies I've seen recently, it did not exceed my expectations. The first part was boring and honestly, I almost feel asleep. Although, there are funny moments that is not enough to suffice what I've been looking for in a film. I just regained the interest to continue watching it in the middle part. Over-all, if I would rate the film just like the others, I would give it 3 stars because there is no wow factor.

Couch Potato Madness: In The Name Of Love: Review

I'm in SM DasmariƱas yesterday only with the intention of buying things I need for everyday use like toiletries and some stuff. Since I finished early, I checked the films that are being shown in the cinemas. I found "In The Name Of Love" starring Jake Cuenca, Angel Locsin and Aga Muhlach. I heard a lot of positive feedback and reviews about this movie so I decided to enter the cinema and watch to confirm if the reviews are indeed true.

At first, I was thinking why this movie was entitled "In The Name Of Love" but at the latter part I finally understood it. The concept of the story revolved around dance, which kinda reminds me of the old movie Dirty Dancing. The moves are sensual. Kudos to Angel for doing a great job of performing pole dancing. Although she mentioned in some interviews that this is one scene that she had struggle doing, I must say that she did pretty fine. Aga's scenes and facial expressions only proves why he is one of the best in the land. Jake's performance cannot be denied as well. He did not let himself be overshadowed by the Angel and Aga.

Scenes that I liked:
-Cedes' (Angel) pole dancing.
-When Cedes is still staking on Eman (Aga) in Japan.
-When Cedes and Eman became lovers and they had quality time together.
-When Eman is auditioning as dance intructor for the Governor's Ball.
-When Eman saved the shot intended for Cedes at the Governor's Ball.

Scenes that I liked the least:
-The flashbacks are kinda confusing, although it helped me a lot understand the entire film.
-The ending, this scene seems to be flat!

If I will be given a chance to rate this movie 5 stars being the highest, my rating would be 4 stars. There are still room for improvements for this but over-all, the movie is good.

Episode 13: Comeback: A Review

Episode 13 of Glee Season 2 had its airing yesterday and it is entitled: Comeback. There are no guest stars for this episode.

These week's episode highlights, first, Sue tried to commit suicide because of her depression due to the loss of at the Cheerleading Regionals. Emma asked Will to let Sue join the Glee Club for a week. But Sue secretly revealed that she wants to destroy the group from the inside. She attempted to turn Mercedes and Rachel against each other.Angry, the girls have a vocal "diva-off" at glee club rehearsals and sing "Take Me or Leave Me" by Rent. Sue did not succeed with her plan.

Second episode highlight, Sam formed a Justin Bieber tribute band to impress Quinn, and sings "Baby" to woo her from Finn. Earlier, Quinn lied to Sam that she did not kiss Finn but had saved his life by extracting a gumball from a choking Finn's mouth. Artie and Mike are concerned that their girlfriends are coming down from a "Valentine's day high" and Puck wants to impress Lauren Zizes, so they join "The Justin Bieber Experience". Together they perform "Somebody to Love" and the boys' suitably impressed girlfriends show their affection. I was also amazed by Lauren's debut solo performance of "I Know What Boys Like" by The Waitresses.

Third episode highlight, Santana confronts Sam about his relationship with Quinn. She explains to Sam that he knows Quinn kissed Finn but that he was willing to believe her story to stay with her, and that he has an opportunity to show everyone that he is not a pushover. Santana then proceeds to proposition Sam. Quinn was impressed by Sam's Bieber-inspired performance but Sam confronts her about her encounter with Finn and states that he is now dating Santana.

Over-all impression: I can say that so far, this is the best episode ever since the hit series came back. I love the performance of Sam Evans for Baby, I love the dance steps, however, this will not make me a Justin Bieber fan... Hahaha!!! =)
