Unconditional Love

There is one kind of love that you don't need to set expectations and regret it in the end. That is what we call "UNCONDITIONAL LOVE". As defined in Wikipedia, it is a term that means to love someone regardless of the loved one's qualities or actions. The paradigm of unconditional love is a mother's love for her newborn. It is often used to describe the love in an idealized romantic relationship. It may sometimes also be used to describe love between family members, comrades in arms and between others in highly committed relationships.

The bible speaks about unconditional love in I Corinthians 13, and the saying goes:

^"1 If I speak in the tongues of men or of angels, but do not have love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. ² If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing. ³ If I give all I possess to the poor and give over my body to hardship that I may boast, but do not have love, I gain nothing.

 ⁴ Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. ⁵ It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. ⁶ Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. ⁷ It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.

 ⁸ Love never fails. Unconditional love can be considered as real love. To love someone unconditionally means that you love the person exactly as they are, exactly as they were before, and exactly as they will be in the future – because people change all the time, so if you love the person, you will love them even if they become something you disagree with.

 We need to consider six ways to show unconditional love:

1) Rather than ask what a person does for a living, inquire instead what evokes joy and contributes to a meaningful life.

2) Rather than value people based on what they do, opt instead to love and accept them because they exist as they are.

3) Rather than live your life to please others, choose instead to grow to understand and learn what it is to please yourself.

4) Rather than do what is conditioned or expected, swallow your pride or fear and choose instead to do what feels right.

5) Rather than criticize, reprimand and emprison the mind, decide instead to boost esteem and praise freedom.

6) Rather than highlight drawbacks of loss, mistakes and failure, concentrate instead on the benefits of all experience.

Temptation Of Wife: Review

When Koreanovela was introduced in our country, Filipinos have gone gaga over them. Mostly, their storylines would include romance, drama, revenge, rags to riches theme, fantasy and action that is why Filipinos can easily relate to these kind of shows. A lot of Koreanovelas can be considered a hit in the Philippines like "Full House" and Korea's version of F4 which is "Boys Over Flowers".

But one Koreanovela caught my attention nowadays. This is Temptation Of Wife which is being aired in GMA 7 every weekday afternoons. It stars Jang Seo Hee as Goo Eun Jae, the main protagonist and Kim Seo Hyung as Shin Ae Ri, the main antagonist.

At first, I was wondering why the title of the show is "Temptation Of Wife", but after watching some episodes in GMA 7 and DVD, i finally understand. It was a story of a wife's revenge and tempation to his husband and the people who made her life and her family miserable.

What I like most: The story is about two women who has their own principles in life. They both have courage, although it was executed in a different manner. Some of the scenes are funny like Jung Gyo Bin(Marcel Jung in Filipino dubbed version) and Jung Ha Neul (Madel Jung) acting was a comic relief. The second character of Jang Seo Hee which is Min So Hee (Chantal Min) shows women empowerment. The character of Shin Ae Ri facial expressions are so precise (Bravo!!!).

What I like least: There are a lot of episodes.... whhaaaaaaaahhh!!! =$

I so love this Koreanovela!!! =)

Makati Bus Explosion - Another Threat To National Security?

Another event caught the attention of every Filipino and the business community. The Newman Gold Line bus with plate number TXJ710 was at the north-bound loading bay near the corner of EDSA and Gil Puyat (Buendia). An explosion occured inside a Newman Gold Liner Bus yesterday, January 25, 2011 around 2PM. 

The Makati City police identified the 4 other fatalities as FX Salustiano Marino, 57; culinary arts student Johansson Reyes, 24; Shirley Kristel Ausena and Jhonlie Daquiaog, 24. The fifth fatality was a call center agent working in Ortigas, Irish Teniola, who was declared dead at the Makati Medical Center around 4AMon Wednesday.

It was reported that before the bus explosion, there were two men who dropped off the bus. There are sketches already and they are now being searched.

The relatives of the victims are pleading for help from the government for hospitalization bills and expenses. January 28, 2011, Friday, is considered as "Day of Mourning" for the fatalities and the victims. As per Makati Mayor Jun Jun Binay, all establishments in Makati area will have their Philippine flags in half-mask position.

Let us all pray for the souls of those who passed away in the incident, as well as those victims who survived so that they can surpass this not so good experience.

brella is a song popularized by Rihanna. I can't help to sing along with the lyrics because of the upbeat tone. Honestly, I thought at first it was just a pop song from her but when I studied the lyrics closely, I was amazed that it was more of a friendship song. My Top Five Friendship Songs Of All Time

Featured in this blog are my top five friendship songs of all time. Songs that define camaraderie and strengthens the bond between friends.

5. Wind Beneath My Wings - Bette Midler (1989)

This song had a rather humble beginning. It was written by Larry Henley and Jeff Silbar and was first recorded in 1982. Lou Rawls brought it into the pop singles chart at #65 in 1983. Country singer Gary Morris took it into the country top 10 the same year. However, it was Bette Midler's performance of the song as a eulogy for a friend in the movie Beaches that made the song an unforgettable classic. "Wind Beneath My Wings" won a Grammy Award for Record of the Year.

4. That's What Friends Are For - Dionne Warwick & Friends (1986)

This classic affirmation of the support friendship provides was first recorded by Rod Stewart for the soundtrack to the movie Night Shift in 1982. The song was written by legends Burt Bacharach and Carole Bayer Sager. Dionne Warwick entered the studio with Elton John, Gladys Knight and Stevie Wonder to record the song as a benefit for the American Foundation for AIDS Research, and pop music history was made. The Gleeks Are Coming Back!!!

Let's take a break from the cheesy and romantic love posts because the Gleeks are back! The all-new episodes will be aired starting February 6, 2011. We're gonna hear the voices of Will, Finn, Rachel, Quinn, Puck, Artie, Mercedes, Tina, Santana, Brittany, Mike, Sam and Kurt once more. Are there any new love teams that will be formed? Will Rachel and Finn be back to each other's arms? Will Kurt be back to join New Directions again? Will Sue still be the main villain of this show? Will she stop making the lives of the Glee kids miserable? Will New Directions win the Regionals over the Warblers or get another tie? Here are some of the information I've gathered so far about the said show:

It hasn’t yet been confirmed that Charice will return in this episode as Sunshine Corazon (although there are rumors about Sunshine joining New Directions in the “Meet Me Halfway” number), but the singer/actress has confirmed that she will be coming back to film more Glee in general.

New Directions will perform a mash-up of Michael Jackson’s “Thriller” and Yeah Yeah Yeahs’ “Heads Will Roll” at the game’s half-time.  

New football players Scott Cooper and Strando (Kody Batchelor) will be making their first appearance.

Quinn will quit New Directions (another Cheerios’ scheme, maybe?).

Katie Couric will guest-star.

The Countdown To The Love Month

It's already half of the month of January, and after fifteen days, we will welcome the February. So I declare starting today the start of the countdown for "The Love Month". Viva Forever!!!

Our friendship started when we were still starting as a team in 24/7 Customer Philippines. There I met Marivic Hidalgo a.k.a. "Mhavz" and Kate Dianne Ardoña a.k.a. "Kate". Because we share the same interests we got along easily. I must say that there was never a dull moment when we are together. When we are all logged in to our work chatroom, that's the only time the room becomes alive with our statements, gimmicks, games and jokes Eventually, I called Mhavz "Marse" and Kate as "Friend". That's when we get even closer, sharing stories, laughter and sadness with each other with no hesitation.

But as they always say... some good things never lasts. Haaayyyy.... Marse left the company last December 2010. Honestly, I felt so depressed because she is the closest to me in the team. Although, it was expected that she has to leave one of those days, still I felt the loneliness once the day comes that she will say goodbye. At first, I just try to make myself believe that she is on VL... but I need to move on. Next, Friend, formally left just today, which made me more lonely... she is the event planner, the Text Twist Queen.

Eventhough they already left and I'm not gonna see them as often, I still believe that the friendship built within us is strong and no one or nothing can destroy it. My Top Five Dream Philippine Destinations

One of the things I want to do this year is to travel different places. Despite of work and hectic schedule, I would still want to unwind and relax. I love to see new sights and wonders. So I created this blog to feature my top five dream destinations.

Top 5 Destination: Davao

I heard a lot of good stories about Davao. They say that this is indeed a peaceful place although we are hearing news about war in Mindanao. The place is known for "durian", a fruit that has a stinky smell but tastes really good when eaten.

Top 4 Destination: Cebu

Cebu is more known as a historical place. It is also one of the most developed cities in the Philippines. Here is where you can see the Magellan's Cross. It has its own airport which is the Mactan-Cebu International Airport. I wonder what is their famous delicacy and of course, I want to try it!!!

Top 3 Destination: Anawangin, Zambales

My friends are already planning for this trip. They say if you go to this place, we can compare it to a camping adventure. Here, we need to build a tent for shelter. The place looks good with a crescent shaped cove with a pristine white sand beach. I hope that this plan would push through.

Top 2 Destination: Palawan

This place is so astounding! It is an island surrounded by beautiful beaches. The most noted place that you can visit here are El Nido and The Coron Reefs. How I wish I could reach this place... =)

Top 1 Destination: Boracay

Haaaayyy... I always dream of visiting this place. The white sand and clear waters are the reasons why a lot of foreigners are being attracted to this place. It will be an unforgettable experience for me once I get here!!!

I hope that I can get to this places this year, but if not... I'll surely make a way to get to these places at the right time!!!
